Advent should admonish us to discover in each brother or sister that we greet, in each friend whose hand we shake, in each beggar who asks for bread, in each worker who wants to use the right to join a union, in each peasant who looks for work in the coffee groves, the face of Christ, Then it would not be possible to rob them, to cheat them, to deny them their rights. El Adviento debía de llamarnos la atención para descubrir en cada hermano y hermana que saludamos, en cada amigo al que le damos la mano, en cada pobre que me pide pan, en cada obrero que quiere usar el derecho de organización en un sindicato, en cada campesino que va buscando trabajo en los cafetales, el rostro de Cristo. No seria capaz de robarle, de enseñarle, de negarle sus derecho, es Cristo y todo lo que haga con él, Cristo lo tomará como hecho a él. La comida que se desborda en nuestros estantes del mercado y llena nuestras mesas es cosechada por los hombres, mujeres, niños y niñas quien a menudo no pueden satisface su propia hambre. – Cesar E. Chavez
