Guest preacher Michael Mata is the former Mildred M. Hutchinson Chair in Urban Ministries and director of the Urban Leadership Institute at Claremont School of Theology and is currently the Urban Development Director for World Vision US Domestic Programs, where he acts as the subject matter expert in Transformational Development and Community Youth Development. Michael continues to teach urban courses at Claremont School of Theology and is adjunct at Fuller Theological Seminary. He did doctoral studies in faith-based community and economic development at the University of Southern California School of Policy, Planning and Development; he has a Masters in City Planning from the University of California at Berkeley, a Master of Divinity degree from the Nazarene Theological Seminary and a Master of Arts in Religion from Point Loma Nazarene University. He is sometimes known as Mr. Tina Mata.
